Well, having had lupus for over 10 years i can say that it is never exactly the same in any two people. But there are some symptoms that many people have that indicate you might possibly have it. The rash and joint pain are definite indicators, also are sensitivity to sunlight, anemia, sometimes even siezures, hair loss, and sores in the nose and mouth. You should definitely see a specialist. If they think you have lupus, they will run a bunch of tests on your blood, it's not something you can detect directly but they can sort of piece all the evidence together.
I hope this helps. Jennifer
: Hi, i am a 26 year old woman. I have had a bunch of health problems lately, like joint pain and a rash that won't go away. My doctor tells me i might have Lupus, and said maybe i should talk to a specialist.
: What I want to know is,how do you know if you actually have Lupus? What should a doctor check out so you can know for sure? What should I look for in a good doctor?
