That is untrue, about your husband's income. Don't let that sway you.
SS always denies a few times. You have to persist and keep appealing. Don't let the cut off go by before you file the appeals or you have to start over. you will be paid retroactively abck to the date of the first application which you persist in, so this is important.
If need be, there are lawyer that will work by getting a cut of whatever you are awarded, no money up front.
However, meanwhile, I too was debilitated with pain, and found out I actually was way too low thyroid for me! I am getting well now! The symptoms are so similar, and the TSH is worthless to determine a diagnosis, which most doctors use.
If you have been told your thyroid level is normal go read on the new thyroid message board, as there is an article archived there.
