Do you often hear the dreaded, "but you LOOK good" comment? Do you get frustrated, because it seems like people don't understand your illness, since to them "you don't LOOK sick?"
Many times, our loved ones do not understand our illness or limitation, because they cannot "SEE" it on the outside. They think, that because we do not LOOK disabled, that we cannot BE disabled by our illness.
The Invisible Disabilities Advocate offers a place where loved ones can learn about chronic, debilitating illness. There are pamphlets and a booklet which can be handed out to friends and family, so they can better understand what you are going through, need and feel!
