Hi, got my test results back on my lyme a week ago after being sick monthly with every type of cold/bronchitis/flu/pinkeye/upper resp infection there is! After being sick for approx 6 mos in a row, on or about the 14th of every month I requested bloodwork. Dr called me and told me the elisa and the Western Blot was positive, since you need to have (on the WB) 5-8 of the bands show positive and I had 7 of them ( I dont know which ones they are yet). He perscribed a form of amox (trimox) 3x a day, @500mg per pill. Is this a sufficent perscription as I have read so much about other types of meds and not many people on this one. My symptoms are tiredness, dizzyness peiodically, chills and sweats, joint pain, headaches, moodswings, forgetfullness and depression and diahrrea. My doctor said before my bloodwork that if it all came out fine, I should go see a mental health person for manic depressive! I was thinking I was crazy for awhile, but have read that depression etc can be caused by Lyme. No recall of a tick bite but do recall being in a tick area about 5 1/2 mos ago looking for my lost Canadian Goose ( that I raised from april until August when I lost him-5 1/2 mos ago when I think I got the little lymer tick) I am getting tons of aches and pains, daytime tiredness, burning in joints, neck stiffness and pain, and heart palpitations on and off. I requested a specialist and am waiting a referral. Any info on a similar situation or this form of treatment would be wonderful. Emailing me would be easier (firstname.lastname@example.org), but posting a response on here would be nice too just incase there is someone out there with a similar situation. Thanks so much!
