: : I would like to know if anyone out there has tried to get s security. and if yhey suceeded. I have had lyme for about 5 years and can't work because there seams like there always something wrong with me right now I'm on IV therapy for the second time in a year and a half. please if someone out there has advice or tried for social security please write back, I will add this is the fist time in my life Iv'e been unemployed Iv' always had ajob till I got lyme and babesia. : : marley. thanks : Yes Marley, some people have been successful. Post to the Lyme Newsgroup: : sci.med.diseases.lyme for imput from some of them greetings marley: i've had lyme for 8yrs, but was misdiagnosed until last fall when i became unable to work. i've applied for SS/SSI and haven't rec'd a determination yet. i suspect i'll be approved, but it has been my experience w/ other disability benefits that "they" will do anything to cause unmanagability in your life, so you'll go back to work & they wo't have to pay. holdfast to your medical treatment & do everything you can to cause "them" to do what they should. fare thee well -peace out
