I was diagnosed with the neurological disorder, Charcot-Marie-Tooth in 1987. I was treated for Lymes disease in 1993, and again in 1994. The second plan of treatment was discontinued because I became allergic to the IV antibiotic I was givenat the time and my liver function rose to dangerous levels.
I have trouble focusing on particular thoughts, can no longer work with numbers without much confusion and experience severe fatigue.
Sometimes, though, I feel ok. My problem is that I am so inconsistent with my abilities that I am not working in gainful employment. I have trouble explaining my inability to work because I 'look' employable. How can I best present my disfunctional picture without further diminishing my self-esteem?
