: Alice
you have explain so much to me, I am 17 and got lyme disease when I was In 7th grade. I spent to months in the hospital before they ditected it. I was scomplety paralized couldn't move with out screaming in aganey. I developted facaly palse and have had slight breathing proplems but the doctor said it had nothing to do with lyme. I have been told that I have been faking it for 5 year and I resontal got tested again and my spinal tap came out +. I hope you replie because I need anwser from some one and know one is willing to tell me the truth. And I don't understand how I can live with the constont pain how does you husban deal with it?

: Alice have you been evaluated by a doctor who is knowledgeable about Lyme Disease?

: ALICE, When my husband was diagnosed 2yrs ago, He first went paralized on one side of his face. He was told it was palsy and to go home. With-in days, his feet then one side of his torso went. He was finally sent to the hospital. A typical blood test was taken and showed nothing. The nurologist was smart enough to find another opinion and was told that in the extream cases of lymes it wont show on the blood test because the bacteria had already settled in his nurves. The Doctor took a spinal and found it to be off the scale. He developed lymes meningitis. Nearly died. I can tell you that three test were taken. It took 3 days to get the results from his spinal that was sent to a lab in calf. We live in NH. Its been 2 yrs. He will never get 1/2 of one of his lungs back. I attribute this to the ignorance and laziness of our primary here in the lakes region.
: Ple4ase try an infectious des. doc or a nurologist. Remember, it did not show up on the reg. blood test, because of advace stages.
