: : : After 2 wks, I got the bull's eye and ran to the M.D. for my 30 days of doxcyclene - twice a day.
: : : My blood tests came back extremely high for Lyme and erlichiosis - my M.D. was concerned. I am still fatigued and lazy - little numbness in my left hand.

: : : When I finish my doxycylene will I be
cured??? I thought I would feel better and that would be the end, much like strep throat.

: : : I am in denial of what Lyme/erlichiosis disease will bring to me the rest of my life?????

: : : desperate for answers

From my experience there is at this time to cure for lyme, only ways to mitigate symptoms. It comes back. I've had lyme for about 20 years. Each time I was bitten I was put on Doxy or Amoxycillin for 2-4 weeks.

If your test scores are high, you need a much longer time on Doxy or a different ABX. For one and one have years I took 400 mg of doxy a day. After several weeks I was able to go back to work first part time and then full time. My brain fog and other symtoms diminsihed significanly.

I reccomment finding a lyme specialist in your area. Try going to lymenet.com or other sites and get information for yourself.

Good luck, stay on antibiotics for 6 months after your symptoms diminish.

Judy
