You have my sympathy as you tangle with this problem. It can be very frustrating when you know there is something wrong, but they don't quickly find it. I became very ill June 18. After unusual blood test results, my doctor referred me to a communicable diseases specialist. He discovered I had a different tic disease (Ehrlichiosis), but I have more recently been having strange symptoms develop, specifically with memory, confusion, and weak legs. We are redoing the Lyme tests since mine originally also came back with a false positive. The Lyme organism can lodge in the brain, and it seems to me that any unusual symptom somewhere on the body would probably be due to the organism's activities in the brain. There are several different types of Lyme tests, and I would strongly recommend seeing someone that has experience with the disease.
