My symptoms: "new" thick facial hair, intestinal and stomach problems, slight occasional dizziness, feeling "out of it", tired, full blown panic attacks, quick changes in blood pressure, feeling of fullness in head, heart palpitations. Am I going nuts or could I be headed into early menopause? My doctor says its stress. I still have periods but they are closer together (3 weeks). I hate this spacey feeling and would like to know if I'm the only one. I don't have hot flashes. My doctor is allowing me to take Xanax, which helps some. We tried Paxil, but that stuff made me even whackier! Does anyone else have similar symptoms. Please help. Thank you. Menopause simply means the end of menstuation, but the term is also used to refer to the months and years in a women's life before and after her final period - a time that may or may not bring with it some physical or emotional changes.
