When the Dr. started me on prometrium therapy, I took 300 mg. daily.
I was not able to tolerate the drug at that dose due to constant breakthrough bleeding.
I did not notice any changes in my stools, but did loose 15 pounds.
I took aygestin for 9 months, and am back on prometrium, 10 days, 200 mg.
every other month, so must have a cycle, instead of no flow. Have had a minor
amount of break through pre-withdrawal bleeding on the current dosage.
I did find information on one of the web sites that indicated the med. is best taken at night.
Plan to try that next month to see if it reduces or eliminates the spotting.
