I have had fierce hot flushes related to menopause for nine years now. I was six years on HRT which stopped them dead, but about 18 months ago, my Doc decided for safety reasons, I should come off. After waiting a year to see if they reduced in intensity or frequency (they didn't) I read an article in a respectable newspaper here in England about a scientific trial of Sage (Salvia) which seemed to specifically target hot flushes and night sweats. I tried it and although it did not stop them dead as did the HRT, it certainly decreased the frequency and duration and made them much more bearable. I used a Swiss product called Menosan made by Bioforce. 15 drops in water 2x a day. Good luck.
: :You may also want to check out the herb called macca. Reports suggest it is very good for menopausal symptoms.: Any recommendations to naturally treat night sweats and hot flashes. I am 34 but cannot take estrogen because of breast cancer, so the hot flashes are pretty intense. Any help??
