I'm 48 and having the same darn symptoms. It's very scary with the heart racing, mine has gone so fast I've had to go to emergency. Mine all started after a miscarriage about 8 months ago. I've also been diagnosed with "irritable bowel syndrome" which also started at the same time. My gyno wants me to take low dose birth control pills to regulate the hormones...no one has said hormones are definitely the cause. I'm a little nervous about taking the pill at my age because of warnings and side effects. By the way, I already take thyroid hormone for an underactive thyroid and my levels are normal.
