If you really do need to have a testis removed
for medical reasons, your urologist should be informing you of the potential after effects of the surgery. And some of this depends on whether
lymph nodes are being removed too, which can cause nerve damage.

I do know that testicular cancer is the leading form of cancer among young men, and for some reason everyone ignores that(in fact, I think hardly anyone is even aware of it except for those of us studying medical science). I think it's terrible when a teenager has to go through the ordeal of going through surgery and having a team of doctors and nurses remove his testicle(s). But women's breast cancer gets all kinds of attention and research funding(more common, but still).

Anyway, be asking your doctor(urologist) these questions. He's knows your medical situation and is best suited to answer them.
