It sounds like she does have hypocondria or it can be a serious depression. Sometimes depressed people feel all these aches and pains in their body. Stomach problems are common, headaches, body aches and other symtoms.
I have an aunt that sounds like your mom a bit. This aunt is always stretching the truth and makes herself look like the smart one in every situation. She often says the doctors should just install a zipper on her stomach because she is always having surgery.
All she seems to talk about is her experiences with sickness.
