: Yes of course but what if that girl feels just so stuck she doesn't know how else to express
: her feelings?

If that is true, the girl is definitely not able to be a friend.

The troubled girl's mom is getting her a psychologist. Children cannot fix the problems of other children, and need to understand where to have healthy boundaries from abuse. If they don't learn, they grow up thinking they can somehow fix or are responsible for other's personal relationship problems...they are called enablers and co-dependents. They help abusers feel OK, even though they abuse.

That, to me, is not healthy thinking.
