I think I'm a pretty nice guy. I'm well educated, tall, intelligent, attractive, well mannered, and treat women with respect. However, I suffer from bipolar disorder. I'm 37 and would like one day to have a family (wife & children).

Everytime I meet someone things go along just fine until I inform them ( several dates, weeks, or months) later of my illness. Then they run like the wind or become "busy" or suddenly "unavailable". I am beginning to think that I will never have a family!

How do any of you who suffer from this illness handle this very touchy, but important aspect of your lives?

Any replies will be greatly appreciated

Thanks,

A broken guy
