: I think it is a load of crap, personally. I have had circumstances in
: my life that would make ANYONE depressed. I grew up with a lot of physical abuse,
: neglect, etc. Just because I've been unhappy about my situation on and off
: for the past 10 years does not mean I'm bi-polar. Yes, I've made some moves
: that I guess make me seem manic but in general I do not get hyper, do not stay
: up for hours, do not do things out of the blue, etc.

: I am not suicidal. I have better things to do with my life.

it's very hard to come to terms with such a big problem. But take hart. This is not something that can't be handled. My son suffers from bi-polar and it took him 3 hospital stayes before he would addmit he was bi-polar even yet he struggles with it. Talk to your doctor. Read books. One I would recommmend is the Un-quiet mind. Lots of people with bi-polar leads happy productive lives. before you can do that you need to meet this disorder head on. take chage of your problem takes time. hang in there this will get better!!
