: I do not really even know where to start. I was just put on zoloft a few weeks back for depression. I did not really feel depressed to often but my nerves are the problem. No control of them. I felt and still fill like I am losing it. I was reading a posting ont his board about ocd and how if someone has had a fear of stabbing or hurting someone. I have had that happen to me where I was doing the dishes and washing aknife and all of sudden it flashed in my mind about hurting myself, and then down the line of family. I would never want to do anything o hurt anyone for any reason. This has really scared me and I already suffer from anxiety and panic attacks and now it is even worse cause I am afraid of my mind and what I am thinking. What is going on. Can anyone help? Is anyone else on zoloft? Please if any of you have any thoughts on this please email me. I feel alone on this and I feel friends or family will not understand this part of it. God Bless.
I am on Zoloft, for over two years now. Unfortunatley, I believe the benefits of it are wearing off on me, as I am on a high dose of 150mg/day, but severe depression has returned... Zoloft CAN make you feel speedy/shaky. It affects different people in different ways. Those side effects can go away in time, though.... My advice to you is that you give it another week or two, and if the side effects don't subside, ask your doctor to prescribe something that doesn't have that effect on you. Best of luck.
