I think you must have experienced some neglect to have those fantasies that you are getting attention.
You must really be hurting inside.
I can appreciate that, as my mom was mentally ill
(she died this year, too) and was not capable of thinking of anyone but herself, so I also suffered neglect. It still gets to me, and I feel really insecure at times. But knowing this helps me get my thinking back into perspective.
I had therapy too, and suggest that you tell the councelor you want feedback, and opinions, not just listening. They tend to go at our pace, and it is up to us to tell them what we want from them. If he doesn't respond, try someone else.
