: Taken from "Food Makes the Difference" Patricia Kane Ph.D. 1985:
: The immune system closely interacts with the nervous and endocrine systems to maintain bodily homeostasis (stability). The allergic state can be triggered or worsened by many factors or a combination of factors such as infections, errors in metabolism, nutritional deficiencies, environmental stress factors, and digestive disorders. Blood-sugar abnormalities and digestive disturbances (pancreas) frequently accomplany allergic manifestations. Hormonal imbalance is common, as the thyroid gland may be underactive and the adrenals overactive* in allergic states. The brain and nervous system are acutely sensitive to allergenic materials, and a diverse range of symptoms may occur.
: *This, I believe, would be a factor in adult acne.
This also demonstrates why low-thyroid is caused by and causes those symptoms, too. Correct the thryoid and much if not all of those symptoms are gone, as it's job is to balance all the hormones and chemials, but with the huge influx of drugs, and other chemicals it often poops out trying!
