Hi, my name is Susie. I am new to this message board. I am desperately trying to find answers. If this is not the appropriate place for me to do so, or you know of a better place for me to try, please let me know. To make a long story short, after getting PPD (postpartum depression) after the birth of my first child back in October, I have suffered from SEVERE anxiety, panick attacks, and insomnia. I was immediately placed on Klonopin and Celexa. The bad news is that I had to go off the meds in order for my hemotologist to diagnose a blood disorder I am experiencing. I am, therefore, having a real hard time. I am going back soon to see my psychiatrist to get back on the meds. To those of you suffering from anxiety and/or insomnia, which meds do you find are most effective? Which meds are available to use long-term? I am beginning to feel I will NEVER be myself again and that I will always need medication. Is this sometimes the case? Are there anxiety/insomnia medications that are safe for long-term? I am desperate for answers. As I said before, I will be seeing my psychiatrist again (and my therapist), but I am interested in hearing from people who have experienced this first hand. I'm scared and frustrated. Thanks for your time. Susie
