: WELL I AM 23 YEARS OLD A STUDENT AND I USED TO THINK I WAS NORMAL A FEW WIERD PROBLEMS LIKE FALLING AND LEGS FALLING "TO SLEEP" ALL THE TIME TALKING AND WRITING PROBLEMS BUT ALL IN ALL NORMAL RIGHT WRONG. I HAVE MS I WAS DIAGNOSES ON JUNE 2 AND AM ON COPAXONE NOW I FEEL LIKE I AM WAY TOO YOUNG EVEN THOUGH I KNOW I AM NOT BUT NOW I FEEL OLD NORMALLY I AM PRETTY ACTIVE NOW I HAVE LOST ALL OF MY ENERGY AND DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING! I AM IN DENIAL BIG TIME ANY TIPS ON HOW TO GET BACK TO MY LIFE I HAD JUST 3 MONTHS AGO I USED TO REALLY LIKE ME NOW I DON'T KNOW ME ANYMORE.
Heather I was diagnosed with MS at the end of March. I lead a very busy life at work and home. i am a nurse consultant for a dialysis provider and travel quite frequently. I was worried about how my MS would affect my life because I want to be able to do the things I want to do. I decided that I was going to control my disease instead of it controlling me. My neurologist agreed that this was the best attitude to take. I try to look at the positive in everything. He said I could have an exacerbation in a month or a couple of years or not another one at all. so I have decided i will not have another one at all. I have continued on with my life as if i do not have MS. I take my Avonex religiously, am eating a better diet, and have tried to reduce the amount of uneeded stress in my life. i think some stress is good for you. Find someone you can talk to that will help you cope with your disease. You control your life no the MS. Just remember that. Feel free to contact me if you want to talk.
