I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH MS TWO MONTHS AGO I HAVE A GRANDMOTHER WITH MS BUT NONE OF HER DAUGHTERS HAVE THE DISEASE INCLUDING MY MOTHER WHEN I ASKED MY DOCTOR IF MS IS GENETIC HE SAID THAT THE IMMUNE SYSTEM WHICH MAKES US SUSUPTABLE TO THE DISEASE CAN BE PASSED DOWN BUT NOT THE MS ITSELF MS IS STILL A MYSTRY DISEASE AND NO ONE KNOWS WHAT CAUSES IT THIS IS ALL HE SAID THEY HAVE FIGURED OUT I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU MORE INFO BUT THAT IS ALL I KNOW. GOOD LUCK
I was diagnosed with MS two years ago. I have had several attacks, though none very severe yet, thank God. I am married and have 2 wonderful kids, a boy (13) and a girl (10). I was wondering what the chances are that they might develop MS? is there anything I can do to decrease their chances of developing MS?
