: I am curious about allergy testing too---especially ELISA and ALCAT blood tests. These two types keep popping up in my research, and the connection between food allergies and MS does also. Can anyone out their answer our questions??? Thanks!
Food allergies kept coming up in my research too.But I objected to going on the eat nothing exclusion diets advocated by so many.It made common sense to have a full blood test done and find out what I was allergic to.So I did and found I am allergic to Cows milk.and eggs yolk and white and am intolerant to coffee ,cola ,and ginger.
So armed with the facts I have been on a diet that eliminates that which I am alllergic to.....and I feel a lot better.....helps with the hayfever as well.My partner as a result went on the same diet......welll needs must.He also has seen a improvement in his allergies.Foods I am intolerant to I rotate every 3-4 days.
Results are good and I still have a good mixed diet.If you exclude all that everybody says ....you will eat nothing .We are all individuals and as such have different allergies....find out what you are allergic to....noone else. And modify accordingly.
Blood tests are the sane way to go they show if you have eaten anything in the last six months that you are allergic to by measuring the antigen levels....so make sure you eat a varied diet before having the test,!Go ahead you have absolutley nothing to lose other than a prick of the thumb.
