I agree. I have had MS for 11 yrs. so I have experienced alot, but ever since I started on Avonex therapy, I have not had an exerbation of my symptoms. I have little quirky things that happen, but nothing that is unmanageable. : get on drugs as soon as possible it is the only thing proven to help i was diagnosed in june and am already on my third month of shots get with your doctor and pick one of the abc shots and hurry good luck : heather : : I'm glad I found this site, I am 27 and have just been diagnosed with ms. My mother and her brother have it so I am not totally unfamiliar with the disease. My mother first got it when she was 21 and now she can't do anything by herself. My first symptoms were numbness and balance problems and now I am having difficulty with my speech. I was wondering if there was anything special I should be doing so that I can avoid getting as bad as my mother is today. Thank you for your advice.
