: : Has anyone had to go to a docter for a colonoscopy?
: Has a dr. ordered this test for you? Do you havr MS? I understand this is a test all people should have, especially after the age 0f 50 since this is the only method of detection for colon cancer. I was dx with a spastic colon last yr. ad the dr. prescribed meds. which really helped. My mother's dr. ordered a colonoscopy when she had the same symptoms and gave her the same dx. Just a differnce in doctors I guess.
Can severe, debilitating diarrhea be A symptom of this disease? I've had two episodes of visual disturbance "Optic Neuritis". But a few months ago I had a couple of weeks of severs diarrhea -- bad enough to land me in the hospital with dehydration. They never found a cause -- like a bacteria, or giardia or C. Diff., or anything like that. I went through an entire colonoscopy at that time, which was conpletely negative. Could this be another part of the disease? Please let me knoe as soon as possible. Thanks. Alyce.
