: I was diagnosed with MS 6 months ago and, although my symptoms are extremely mild at present, I have got a new job which is less physically strenuous as my current one. I was wondering whether I was legally bound in any way to inform them about my diagnosis. I will joining the companies pension scheme aswell. Are there any implications there?

Liz: You are under no obligation to inform any employer of your MS other than if it will prevent you from performing some part of your job. The general public dose not know or understand MS. Give this new job a chance, see if 1. You like it?
2. Do you like the people you work with? THEN: What you tell & who you tell is only your business. Does your local NMSS have a legal counsel? They will some times talk to you for free, Ask about your state laws and the ADA ACT? Then decide who & what to tell. You are being secretive about your desease, you are being selective about who you share it with. Also learn as much as you can about your MS & MS in general you will be the teacher of your friends, and any one else you chose. Remember!!! IF THEY ASK TELL THEM!!! Be kind about how you tell. God Bless & LOL Mary
