: Has anyone with MS had back surgery to correct a disk problem in the limbar spine are? My cousin was told by one specialist that she must have surgery with steel rods inserted at either side of her spine to correct the problem. Another neurologist told her not to have any back surgery whatsoever because of her MS. She doesn't know what to do, but is in severe pain and really needs relief. Any sugggestions?
I just read your post and I wanted to let you know that I had to have emergency surgery two years ago for a ruptured disk. I was in horrible pain and it also was just about to puncture my bladder. I have done fine since then. I healed very quicly with no problems. I am a 57 yr. old female. Was dx in 1993 with MS. Hope this helps! Please tell your sister that I will be praying for her! I understand the pain she is in. God Bless!
