Hi, I also have ST and have tried the Botox injections. After several tries, it seemed they just didn't do much for me. Most people have better luck than I've had with Botox though! I've also tried various medications... one that helped me was Artane, although the side effects decidedly were not worth it. I felt very dopey on the med and had tremendous difficulty concentrating, so it was hard for me to function at work, and rather scary driving when I knew my mind was in outer space somewhere, etc. It was an effort to "focus". Still, I was grateful for the relief from the spasms, so I stayed on it for awhile... what finally made me quit Artane was when my heart started racing. I don't know for sure it was the Artane, but thought it was a good possibility and quit taking it. Right now I'm back to acupuncture treatments for the second time, because I've gotten to a point that I'm in a lot of pain again. The acupuncture definitely relieves pain and helps some of the twisting, at least for short periods of time.
