Are you drinking enough water? Dehydration can cause muscle cramps. Also, do you take any calcium or magnesium supplements? If not, start doing so! Calcium and magnesium are needed by the muscles for proper function. I was getting nasty cramps before I started taking Ca-Mg supplements. Best to start with 1000mg Calcium and 400mg Magnesium and see what that does to help your cramps. It may take several months at this dose to see any improvement, but you'll be glad when it comes. Finally, try consulting a naturopathic physician - they may have other treatment options for you. Best of luck!

: I get very severe cramps on the outter parts of my lower legs when I walk any distance. It feels like the tendons are being twisted and pulled. I have tried stretching exercises, several different pairs of shoes, arch supports and physical therapy. Nothing helps. The doctor says I am too young to have it caused by circulation problems. Any ideas? or suggestions? Thanks.
