: : I m hoping by posting this message here, I may
: be able to get some help with this matter. I have
: an aunt how is 80 years old. She contracted
: Hepatitis C many years during a surgery
: procedure. She has lived with this decease for
: many years and now because of her age, has been
: advised " to live with it ". For the past 5 years
: she has had all the simptoms of Peripheral
: Neuropathy. No medication she has taken has been
: of much relieve and she is in fairly consitent
: pain. Recently she has been told that her PH is
: the result of her Hepatitis C condition, and
: again, nothing can be done to help her.
: : Is anyone aware of PN conditions resulting from
: liver decease? Can anyone suggest potential
: treatments for pain management or improvement? I
: find it hard to beleive that she has to endure so
: much pain and there is nothing that can be done
: for her. Is there any research being done on
: this? She lives in So. Californial. We would be
: forever grateful to anyone with any help at all.
: Thank you. Please Email me at Cdo69@aol.com

: I have seen the Hepatitis in connection with PN. Probably was on the sites for Peripheral Neuropathy. But, yes it has been commented on by a few people. I take Elavil (amytriptaline) and Neurontin which helps me.

I have chronic hepatitis which the doctor says is caused by my immune system attaching the liver. I take Immuran until my enzyme levels are ok, then do blood tests every month to monitor the level. I have had PH for 20 years and hope they soon find something to help all of us.
