, Periphal neuropathy can be caused by adverse reaction to statin grugs like Lipitor for cholesterol . Also many cancers cause neuropathy . If you don't have diabetes or hopefully nothing else you will be stuck with the symptoms . As far as I can tell some medications can give some relief but don't work all that well . I think I had an adverse reaction to Lipitor . That was over 8 months ago and I'm still suffering symptoms . I flunked the EMG that confirmed that my muscle weakness was "real" .
