: : I was recently diagnosed with neuropathy in the balls of my feet and toes. My roommate also has it in the same place. She calls it "hot foot." She also has some pain with hers. My doctor, who is very big on natural remedies if possible, recommended Alpha Lipoic Acid. Both I and my roommate think it's helped our feet. It's definitely better than it was when I went to the doctor. Alpha Lipoic Acid is an antioxidant. Try it!
: Hi CJ,
: Could you please tell me the dose you are taking. An Endrocrinology Dr. at a teaching hospital told me that they freguently use it for Neuropathy but she didn't tell me the dose. My sister wants to try it but she heard that high doses can raise your sugar level. Thanks,---Harry
I'm taking a 100 mg. capsule 3 times a day. It was prescribed to me by my medical doctor. My roommate now takes it and a fellow-employee of hers has started taking it for diabetic neuropathy. (He checked with his medical doctor first.) Hope it helps.
