Nuerontin and Nuerotin???

I have a friend who claims she is having a problem with anxiety and panic attacks. Upon visiting a psychiatrist they prescribed her with effexor. Now she is seeing a nuerologist and this doctor has prescribed her with either nuerontin or nuerotin. Can someone please give me some feedback on this. I have looked up nuerontin and found that it is used to treat eppilepsy. Searching for nuerotin has lead me to this place. Please, I am looking for what both drugs are used for. Could my friend be in danger of taking medication for an illness she doesn't have? Please email me with answers. Thanks
