neurofibromatosis - 1 Concern

My soon to be fiancee has NF-1. No learning disabilities (she is very intelligent) and a lot of the other signs are there. Cafe au lait spot, the nerve tumors (on wrists), and an optic gleoma (that doesn't affect her vision). I was wondering if this disease kinda plataus out at a certain age? She is 20 years old and I am just wondering what is to come years down the road! Thanks!
