I was diagnosed with Osteo in August, I am 53 and thought I lived a healthy life style and had a good balanced diet, so was shocked.
Didrocal was precribed and not much info given by the doctor.
The prescription seems to be made up of 14 etidronate disodium tables USP 400 mg and 76 calcium carbonate tables USP 500 mg.
The prescription cost $45!
This seems very expensivet for 14 tablets and 76 calcium tablets.
The same calcium tablets can be purchsed much more economically off the shelf.
Any suggestions?
