My mother was on fosamax for 12 months but hated to get up in the am to take it before breakfast. This she informed her doctor and she changed her medication to Norvasc, which is a calcium channel blocker. this med. is for hypertention and angina. Is this a non-described use for narvasc or has the dr. made a mistake??? she also takes nifedipine for her HTN. Could there be serious decreases in her B/P by doubling up on calcium channel blockers? Please help
