: I am a group fitness instructor who has a client with Osteoporosis. She came to me and said that
: according to her doctor, through exercise she has done an excellent job of getting rid of it (if that is possible)
: in her legs and hips, but she still has it in her spine. She came to me looking for additional exercises
: that she could do for her back. Aside from the prone upper and lower body lifts, I am at a loss. Does
: anyone have any suggestions?

I am a P.T. who deals with many osteoporosis patients. I agree with you that we don't "get rid of " osteoporosis, but with supplements and exercise we can prevent worsening and at times cause improvement.

You mainly want to avoid and trunk flexion exercises and continue with extensor strengthening. Have you tried "alternate superman" where the person lies prone over a pillow or two and raises the altenate arm/ leg, then reverses?

Also, check out the site for Sarah Meeks P.T. who gives courses but also has some exercises books as well as books for patients available. Good luck
