My 86 year old mom has bad osteo due mostly to previously undiagnosed parathyroidism. Her tests report much fracturing in back and hip highly affected. She is very petite so weight is not a problem. I would like to help her embark on an exercise program to increase strength and balance. Do you think she should consult with a physical therapist? Has anyone found this to be beneficial?
