: Hello! : After being diagnosed 1 yr ago with osteopenia I read Dr. John Lee's book on menopause and began a treatment plan of natural progesterone cream, calcium and Vitamin D. Feeling very confident, I had a follow-up bone desity test several days ago and to my dismay, am 10% worse than last year. I understand that certain medications may counteract the effects of natural progesterone, but badly need a resource to consult with on this as Dr. Lee is not available (although I did send him a email)I am 40 yrs old and am experiencing early menopause. Any suggestions and/or resources? Thanks in advance. You have to be aggressive to treat this disease. I was thru menopause at 44 and 7 years later i have advanced osteoporosis. I take Miacalcin nasal spray and PreFest a organic harmone. There is also further progession of the desease at least 1 year following treatment. The only thing you can hope for is that you halt it's progression. You should have another scan after 18 months of treatment.
