Although I have always been a candidate for osteoporosis, I had a bone scan/density in 11/97, and was told that it was normal. I showed no symptoms until 8/99 after I was in a car accident, in which I had physical therapy for my neck/shoulders, low back, wrists and ankles. I have had many problems since and had several tests. I was told that I have arthritis, neck and shoulders especially I began having problems with my wrist & thumb and had xrays. My doctor said that I have osteoporosis and that they are scheduling another bone density test. I know that the automobile accident did NOT cause the osteoporsis, but could it have aggrivated it? Thank you
