"dexa scan" IS covered by medicare. it's federal law. via the "bone mass measurement act" passed in 1998, 1999, somewhere in there. it allows one scan per 24 months. my mom just got hers paid for. men require a reasonable reason from your doctor.
: A major hospital in Orlando,Fla. told me today that a diagnostic Dexacan, ordered by my doctor, is not covered by medicare and therefore my insurance will not pay for it. I am 65 years old. Is there some way to get this information to a person(s) who can do somthing about it?
