: : I have pain which they feel is from fractures

: : the healing? Nancy
: I was diagnosed with osteo 5/98. Have had severe pelvic, hip, rib, and feet pain with fractures at all these sites, some recently. The pain has eased some but still exists, mostly in my feet and pelvis. Am on Fosamax, Miacalcin Nasal spray, Calcium w/Vit D, and ERT. Doctors have encouraged me to walk leisurely and do water aerobics and swim. Nothing seems to ease the pain. I hope this is not normal and neverending because I would not want anyone else to experience the constant pain for long periods of time. If anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it. Nancy I hope you get better.
I'm 48 and fractured my ankle when I was 20. It really had been bothering to the point that I went to a doctor and I was diagnosed w/osteoporosi. He told me to drink a glass of milk a day and eat 3 Tums. I'm taking Relifen(1500mg at bedtime) and I still ache in my ankle a lot. I'm scared to walk, because I'm afraid I'll use up what cartalidge I have left, which isn't much. Any advise?
