: Any experience using Fosomax would be of interest..such as side effects if any. Hi: i don't believe you would use Fosomax for prevention of osteoporosis; it is a very potent medication with many nasty side effects including the possibility of ulceration of the esophogus. You should go a search engine like Yahoo and bring up Fosamax and you will see what kind of side effects there are. Plus, if you scroll down on this board you will see the many complaints people have about this drug. I will probably take Ipriflavone for my osteopenia(borderline osteoporosis) because Fosamax and drugs like it have nasty side effects. IF YOU DON'T HAVE OSTEOPOROSIS, you wouldn't take a drug this powerful; you should talk to your physician about calcium and other nontoxic methods to prevent osteoporosis including exercise.
