: My son has been diagnosed with juvenile osteoporosis. He is nine and has had four breaks of the long bones in 14 months. He is beginning to take fosomax and a vitamin D supplement. : My grandson has been diagnosed with juvenile ostioporosis. He is nine and is taking no medication or treatment. It seems this is rare and they don't know what to do about him. Where and how was diagnosis and treatment provided? We use LSU in Louisiana. Also tried Shriners. What is the prognosis? His doctors say 'wait and see'. Could anysone provide more information? Thank you, Joyce
