I am 39 and was recently diaganosed with Osteoporosis. The doctors suspect it is secondary osteoporosis due to my Grave's Disease (which was diagnosed in 1988). I was put on Fosomax this past April -- and am starting to have some major reservations about it. I have noticed that my muscles are much weaker -- I don't have the endurance I use to have (I am an avid weight lifter, I practice Yoga, and a run on the treadmill 3-4 times a week). In addition to the fosomax I take Calcium/D/Magnesium/Boron/K supplements along with Ipriflavone. Does any one else have osteo at such a young age (and no, I am not anywhere near menopause)? If so, what are they doing?
