Posted by janet on October 13, 2000 at 21:13:26:Hi! I went to my chiropractor and he did a DEXA screening on my finger. It came out on the low side, .9, not osteopenia, but close. I had the same test last year and was .7, so my bone density decreased. My concerns are ...is this test accurate or should I have a test of my larger bones? Should I be worried? Should I see a specialist? My mom has osteo and I would like to prevent it. Should I take iprivalone? Can I takeit if I am not menapausal? I exercise, eat right and take calcium. I am thin, but not underweight.
