My mother who is 57 years old went through menopause 17 years ago has just had a period. She just started taking estrogen 2 months ago and recently had a bone density test. The test evidentally showed she has the beginning stages of osteoporosis. I am wondering if there is any link between osteo and postmenoposal bleeding. She has been to the doctor and they will be doing an ultrasound initially and go on from there. Of course a fear we have is ovarian cancer. Can you let me know of a link?
