: : To anyone on the duragesic patches, What I want to know is do the patches leave you feeling Zombie like. Also what other side effects have you had, including no BM or feeling depressed. I am on medication for anxiety and the methadone made this worse. On the nerve blocks did it work and how long. How about direct site injections, I went through two steroid dose paks with no results. Any info appreciated as long as your not selling.

Keith you know i wont B.S. you so here goes: they come in 25 mqh to 100 mqh if you have been takeing meds already dont let the dr start you at 25 because thats for people who havent had any meds and its a very low dose for you r pain i think. Even at the 100 you can wear more than 1 patch it depends on what pain control you need. The fentynl in the the patch is the same med that right before you go out to start the surgery , that really good feeling (high) you get like even if you could die you dont care thats the fentynl giving you tht feeling . However the dose you are getting then compared to the patches is quite different in dosage. Ive used them several times and got good relief its just when you start it take s awhile to get going so you take an oral till it starts working but when it works it works and you can become veery mobile and i experienced no bad side effects, nausea, double vision, slurred speach etc...... not one of those or any thing else and i was taking a high dose. one thing you have to be care of but i guess its with all pain meds is standing up extremely fast, you may find yourself on ass or worse your face. It is a good safe pain med keith and if you conact the company i can get you the # you can arrange to get it free. i was getting it free for 6 months before i got in my wifes insurance. Take care keith and if you get a chance to go on it do it and get it free, your dr would have to write that you dont have prescription coverage and its free. Jusst in case for the future there are a BUNCH of PAIN MEDS that you can get free the companies them selves have the programs so use them i did. Besides they get very large tax breaks and grants for research for other meds to develop.
